SiteMinder Switches on Link with VHP System
Award winning channel manager, SiteMinder, has announced a new, two-way connection between Sindata’s Visual Hotel Program property management system (PMS) and the world’s leading booking sites. VHP has joined the growing number of PMSs connecting to SiteMinder’s ‘plug and play’ pmsXchange technology to increase their online distribution offering.
The SiteMinder integration means hundreds of hotels in Asia and eastern Europe that use the VHP PMS can now have their room availability and pricing distributed automatically to dozens of online accommodation booking sites such as Agoda, Expedia, and Orbitz. Reservations from the booking sites are then automatically delivered into the VHP PMS by SiteMinder’s Channel Manager, eliminating the need to manually re-key booking site reservation emails.
SiteMinder’s Business Development Manager for Asia, Kevin Tatem, said the new, seamless two-way connection between the increasingly popular Visual Hotel Program PMS and online booking sites would boost efficiencies and cut costs, red tape and man hours for hotels using VHP.
“The PMS integration solution we are delivering to Sindata in Indonesia and their hotel customers across Asia and the world will greatly benefit hoteliers keen to reach new markets faster and more efficiently,” Mr Tatem said. “Hotels using the VHP PMS can now use SiteMinder’s leading edge channel management technology to ensure their inventory and pricing is automatically up-to-date on various booking sites, which benefits consumers and makes the management of hotels much more efficient resulting in a highly streamlined business process.”
Business Development Manager for Sindata, Christian Yie, said: “As a leading hotel management system provider, we believe that this new VHP-SiteMinder integration will provide hotels with a powerful tool that will deliver significant time and cost benefits. The manual work of updating room rates and allotments and the re-entry process of online bookings will be eliminated. And VHP’s automatic rate calculation process based on season and actual occupancy will also help maximise hotel yield.”
