Connection ProcessesThe process for connecting to the crsXchange service is a five-stage development to production lifecycle process as outlined below. The 5 stages are
Phase 1 – InitiationThe CRS Vendor and Siteminder discuss and sign-off on a Vendor partnership agreement. The CRS Vendors technical team reads through the crsXchange documentation and confirms their technical ability to make a connection. Phase 2 – DevelopmentA crsXchange test account is created for the CRS Vendor on SiteMinder’s test environment and self-testing can occur at any time. CRS Vendor commences development and indicative timeframes are discussed. A crsXchange development process form is to be completed within 5 days of the test account being provided to give SiteMinder an understanding of the type of connection to be made and certification requirements to be completed. Phase 3 – CertificationThe CRS Vendor submits their final interface to SiteMinder for certification. SiteMinder will provide test plan documentation and specific test cases to be completed and signed off by SiteMinder and the connecting party prior to the Production Pilot stage. Phase 4 – Production PilotSiteMinder and the CRS Vendor agree on 1 pilot hotel that will be used as the first connection on the production environment. It is best for all parties if this property is an existing user of SiteMinder. The lead-time to fully configure the production pilot hotel is normally 3 days. If the hotel to be piloted on the new CRS connection is a new hotel to SiteMinder they will need to go through training on the SiteMinder system before moving onto the production pilot phase. Phase 5 – ProductionOnce a CRS Vendor is certified and the production pilot property has been successfully running for approximately 1 week additional properties can be added to the connection. New properties will contact SiteMinder sales who will confirm the CRS upgrade connection and organise the configuration and training for the property. |
